Brainchild IO-8AIIS Modbus IO Module

Brainchild IO-8AIIS Modbus IO Module the IO-8AIIS Isolated Current Input Module by Brainchild with RS485 interface and 8 fully isolated analog inputs. For use with HMI, PLC or SCADA via Modbus.

Each channel has a connection terminal and an LED status indicator channel. Uses the Brainchild PC software IO Studio to configure communication with the module. The module housing is plastic with DIN rail mounting.

Core Operational Functions

Precision Process Signal Acquisition: Converts $0\text{–}20\text{ mA}$ or $4\text{–}20\text{ mA}$ analog currents from industrial field transmitters (e.g., pressure, level, flow, temperature) into high-resolution 16-bit digital values.
Channel-to-Channel Electrical Isolation: Electrically isolates all 8 input channels from each other as well as from the logic power supply and communication port. This prevents cross-channel interference, eliminates ground loops, and protects connected control hardware from high-voltage transients.
Loop Diagnostic & Wire-Break Detection: When operated in $4\text{–}20\text{ mA}$ mode, the module continuously monitors loop current. If a cable snaps or a sensor fails, it flags a wire-break status bit in its Modbus diagnostic registers for instant SCADA alerting.
