Description

FCON GFM Series Gas Flow Meter

FCON GFM Series Gas Flow Meter Equipped with a mass flow sensor. Supports up to 200LM in compact size. Low pressure loss : Low loss due to simple flow path structure. Flow output signal Analog.

FCON GFM Series Gas Flow Meter is a high-precision digital thermal mass flow meter engineered for direct, accurate volumetric mass flow measurement of industrial and laboratory gases without requiring separate pressure or temperature compensation. Designed by FCON, the GFM Series utilizes capillary thermal sensing technology to deliver reliable flow metering across clean gas lines, purging systems, gas blending manifolds, and environmental monitoring equipment. Featuring dual digital (RS-485) and analog output signals, compact stainless steel construction, and minimal pressure drop, the FCON GFM Series Gas Flow Meter provides exceptional measurement stability for automated process telemetry and quality control systems.

Technical Overview & Operating Principle

The FCON GFM Series Gas Flow Meter operates using thermodynamic capillary sensing principles to measure gas mass flow rates directly.

A fraction of the incoming process gas enters a heated capillary sensor tube while the remaining volume flows through an engineered laminar flow element (LFE) bypass. As gas moves through the capillary, it picks up heat from an upstream heating element and carries it toward a downstream sensor element.
