Description
Brainchild C22 Temperature Controller with 2 LCD Display
Brainchild C22 Temperature Controller with 2 LCD Display The new generation low-cost PID microprocessor-based Fuzzy logic digital controller series incorporates two bright easy-to-read LCD Displays that indicate Process value (PV) and Setpoint value (SP). The Fuzzy Logic technology incorporated into this series controller enables a process to reach the predetermined set point in the shortest time with a minimum overshoot during Start (Power ON) or external load disturbances.
Function
1. Primary Control Functions
Fuzzy + PID Control: Automatically calculates Proportional, Integral, and Derivative values while applying Fuzzy Logic to eliminate thermal overshoot and speed up recovery time after process disturbances.
Auto-Tuning (AT): Automatically evaluates the thermal characteristics of the connected heating/cooling system and computes optimum PID constants.
Manual Control Mode: Allows operators to bypass automatic PID control and set the control output percentage directly (0–100%) for manual testing or emergency override.
ON/OFF Control Mode: Configurable hysteresis band for basic relay ON/OFF switching (ideal for simple heating elements or compressor protection).
Heat/Cool Dual Output: Drives primary heating on Output 1 and secondary cooling (air or water fan/valve) on Output 2 simultaneously.
2. Monitoring & Signal Processing Functions
Dual PV/SV Display: Displays the live measured Process Value (PV) and active Setpoint Value (SV) side-by-side on two independent LCD screens.
Bar Graph Display: Displays real-time primary output percentage directly on an on-screen vertical bar graph.
Digital Filtering: Includes configurable input filter time constants to smooth out electrical noise or thermal turbulence on sensor lines.
Sensor Break Detection: Detects open sensor loops (broken thermocouple or disconnected RTD) and switches to a pre-programmed emergency output percentage.
3. Alarm & Safety Functions
Multi-Mode Alarms: Supports up to 2 independent alarm outputs configured for:
Process High / Low Alarm: Triggers when PV exceeds absolute thresholds.
Deviation High / Low Alarm: Triggers when PV strays from SV by a specified range.
Band Alarm: Triggers when PV strays outside an acceptable upper/lower offset window.
Alarm Latching & Hold: Holds alarm state until manually acknowledged or suppresses false alarms during initial system startup.
