Flowma DCRD1000A2 Radar Level Meter
Flowma DCRD1000A2 electromagnetic wave propagates in space at the speed of light, and when it encounters the surface of the measured medium, part of its energy is reflected back and received by the same antenna. According to the time interval of the two pulses, the distance from the antenna to the surface of the measured medium is calculated.
Flowma DCRD1000A2 Radar Level Meter is a high-performance, non-contact high-frequency radar level transmitter engineered for continuous level monitoring of liquids, slurry, and corrosive chemicals in storage tanks and process vessels. Operating on advanced high-frequency microwave technology (26 GHz / 80 GHz FMCW), the Flowma DCRD1000A2 Radar Level Meter offers sub-millimeter precision unaffected by steam, pressure, temperature fluctuations, or tank agitation. Featuring a stainless steel horn or rod antenna option, IP67/IP68 heavy-duty housing, 4–20mA HART, and RS-485 Modbus telemetry, it provides reliable industrial level measurement.
Technical Overview & Operation
The Flowma DCRD1000A2 Radar Level Meter operates using the non-contact time-of-flight (ToF) or Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) radar principle. Mounted at the top of a vessel, the transmitter antenna emits high-frequency radar pulses directed in a focused beam toward the media surface.
When the signal contacts the product interface, a portion of the microwave energy reflects back to the transducer receiver. The internal microprocessor measures the precise time delay or frequency difference between signal emission and reception to determine the exact distance to the liquid surface. The narrow beam angle allows the signal to bypass internal tank obstructions such as ladders, agitator blades, and heating coils.
