Description
Gastec 3200 Diffusion Tube
Gastec 3200 Diffusion Tube Solvents such as thinner contain multiple components. Previous models permit the generation of single component gases for calibration purposes. However, a multiple component type diffusion tube enables the simultaneous generation of 4 types of gases for calibration. Employing this tube enhances analytical testing.
Core Operating Principle
The diffusion tube method dynamically generates precise, low-concentration calibration gas mixtures from liquid phase solvents:
Liquid organic solvent mixtures (such as paint thinners, complex solvent blends, or hydrocarbon mixtures) are loaded into the diffusion tube vessel.
The tube is placed inside the constant-temperature chamber of a Gastec Permeater.
As the liquid vaporizes at a constant rate, gas molecules diffuse out through the precision bore capillary.
A constant flow of carrier gas (N2 or purified air) sweeps across the tube outlet to continuously yield a multi-component calibration stream of known concentration.
