Technical Overview & Operation
Kofloc 8500MM Mass Flow Controller/Mass Flow Meter with Indicator operates using a high-precision thermal mass sensor paired with a fast-acting proportional solenoid control valve. Gas passing through the laminar flow element transfers heat to a capillary sensor tube. Internal bridge circuitry measures this thermodynamic heat shift to calculate true mass flow independent of line pressure or temperature shifts.
The integrated digital indicator presents real-time flow rate, accumulated volume, and setpoint parameters directly on the front screen. Operators can adjust flow setpoints locally via tactile control keys or command the unit remotely using analog 0–5V/4–20mA signals or RS-485 digital communications. Multi-gas software curves allow users to switch between standard gases ($N_2$, Air, $Ar$, $CO_2$, $O_2$) without returning the unit for factory recalibration.
