Description

Technoton MasterCAN J1939 i/o Module

Technoton MasterCAN J1939 i/o Module Technoton MasterCAN J1939   is a smart tool for GPS/GLONASS vehicle monitoring systems,  where analogue onboard equipment is used along with digital CAN/S6 equipment.

MasterCAN DAC15 used for converting:

1) Digital data (SPN) of automotive interface CAN/S6 to analogue inputs of telematics terminal or dashboard.
2) Analogue output signals of automotive sensors to CAN/S6 ports of telematics terminal.

Specifications

  • Supported Analog Inputs: Voltage (00.5-9V), Frequency (0.01-10kHz), Current (4-20 mA), Pulse.

  • Supported Analog Outputs: Discrete voltage switching, frequency, pulse (0.5-9 V), current (4-20 mA), and resistance (0.015-50k).

  • Power Supply: 9 to 45 V DC (surge-protected vehicle power line).

  • Configuration: Programmed using Service S6 MasterCAN software via an S6 SK service adapter.

Features

Dual Parallel Signal Conversion

  • Digital-to-Analog Gateway (CAN $rightarrow$ Analog): Converts CAN J1939 PGN/SPN data into voltage, current ($4text{–}20text{ mA}$), frequency, resistive, or discrete switching outputs.

  • Collector Mode (Analog $rightarrow$ CAN): Converts incoming analog sensor inputs (voltage, resistive, current) into standard CAN J1939 messages to broadcast onto the S6 telematics bus.

  • Simultaneous Bi-Directional Operation: Performs both conversions concurrently on a single device.

Extensive Protocol & SPN Library Support

  • 10,800+ SPN Parameter Database: Supports parsing and assignment across SAE J1939/71, ISOBUS, FMS, and Technoton S6 protocol definitions.

  • Auto-Parsing & Searching: Automatically extracts targeted SPNs (e.g., fuel volume, RPM, oil pressure, axle weight) from incoming CAN streams without manual bit-masking.

  • Flexible Calibration & Scaling: Allows custom calibration tables, pulse-multiplier setups, and signal filtering curves per channel.

Applications

  • Dashboard Retrofits: Drive legacy analog instrument panel gauges using data pulled directly from a modern J1939 engine CAN bus.

  • GPS Tracker Expansion: Aggregate multiple analog sensors (axle load, temperature, pressure) onto a single CAN interface on telematics terminals with limited analog inputs.

  • Automated Alarm Control: Trigger external relays, warning lights, or buzzers when specific CAN parameters breach threshold limits.
