Wenglor LD86PCV Retro Reflex Sensor Universal

Wenglor LD86PCV Retro Reflex Sensor Universal is a reflector that must be used in combination with these sensors. Even reflective objects can be reliably recognized through the use of polarized light. Reflex light barriers and retro-reflex sensors work with different light sources, whereby the emitter and receiver are located in one housing.

When the light beam between the emitter and the defined background or reflector is interrupted, a switching signal is an output.

Applications

Presence Check of Beverage Crates on Roller Conveyors with Retro-Reflex Sensors

During the bottling of beverages for the food industry, beverage crates are conveyed to the individual process steps for emptying, cleaning and loading on roller conveyors. In order to know the exact number of crates or to prevent jams, their presence must be recorded at several points. Universal retro-reflex sensors installed in the side walls of the conveyor technology detect when their beam is interrupted – thanks to a polarizing filter even for reflective or black crates. The metric stainless steel housing with IP67 protection also makes them very robust.

Universal Retro-Reflex Sensors

Universal retro-reflex sensors are suitable for the detection of glossy, chrome-plated or reflective surfaces thanks to the polarization filter. They work with red light or laser light. Objects are detected by interrupting the light beam between the sensor and the reflector.
