Honda HD320 Ultrasonic Level Meter transmitted from the sensor is reflected back from the measured object, and the distance is calculated based on the echo return time. This makes it possible to perform operations such as measuring the liquid level inside a tank or monitoring the remaining amount of materials in a tank.

Technical Overview & Operation
The Honda HD320 Ultrasonic Level Meter operates on the acoustic time-of-flight (ToF) principle. The top-mounted sensor transducer emits high-frequency ultrasonic acoustic pulses downward toward the surface of the targeted liquid.
Upon striking the liquid surface, the acoustic wave reflects back to the transducer face. The internal microprocessor measures the precise elapsed transit timeof the returning echo and converts it to distance using acoustic velocity . Integrated temperature sensors dynamically adjust acoustic speed calculations to eliminate errors caused by temperature fluctuations inside the vessel headspace. Advanced signal algorithms isolate true liquid surface reflections from false echoes caused by internal tank ladders, structural supports, or surface ripples.
