Description

Honda HD350 Ultrasonic Level Meter

Honda HD350 Ultrasonic Level Meter transmitted from the sensor are reflected back from the measured object, and the distance is calculated based on the echo return time. This makes it possible to perform operations such as measuring the liquid level inside a tank or monitoring the remaining amount of materials in a tank.

Honda HD350 Ultrasonic Level Meter is a compact, high-precision non-contact liquid level measuring instrument designed for reliable level monitoring in water storage tanks, chemical vessels, industrial sumps, and open drainage channels. Manufactured by Honda Electronics Co., Ltd., the Honda HD350 Ultrasonic Level Meter features an integrated ultrasonic transducer and digital processor that measures liquid height continuously without physical fluid contact. Equipped with automatic temperature compensation, intelligent echo filtering, digital LCD indication, and standard 4–20mA output, it offers low-maintenance level telemetry for municipal and industrial utilities.

Honda HD350 Ultrasonic Level Meter Features

Honda HD350 Ultrasonic Level Meter is a compact, lightweight level meter which includes sensor and display in one unit. Graphical display shows real time wave form in A-mode and it is useful for maintenance. Mask function can avoid noise interference.

Technical Overview & Operation

The Honda HD350 Ultrasonic Level Meter relies on the acoustic time-of-flight (ToF) measurement method. The sensor transducer is mounted above the maximum fluid level and emits high-frequency ultrasonic pulses aimed vertically down at the liquid surface.

When the acoustic pulse strikes the surface, it reflects back to the transducer face. The internal microcomputer calculates the precise elapsed time ($\Delta t$) of the returning echo and determines the exact distance to the liquid surface using the acoustic velocity ($v$). Integrated temperature sensors automatically adjust speed-of-sound calculations to neutralize ambient air temperature shifts inside the vessel headspace. Advanced echo-processing software isolates true liquid reflections from false echoes caused by internal tank piping, ladder rungs, or mild surface turbulence. Product literature and mounting guidelines can be accessed via Honda Electronics documentation channels.
