Description

Wenglor P1KT001 Reflex Sensor Energetic

Wenglor P1KT001 Reflex Sensor Energetic the reflex sensor works with red light according to the principle of energy and is designed to detect objects without a background. The switching distance is set for a given object. Note that: Bright objects reflect transmitted light better than dark objects. Dark (matte) objects can also be differentiated from bright (glossy) objects. This means that presence or stack height checks can be conducted or counting tasks carried out. The IO-Link interface can be used to configure the reflex sensors (PNP/NPN, NC/NO, switching distance), as well as for reading out switching statuses and distance values.

Applications

Presence Check of Nonwoven Fabric on Coffee Capsules with Reflex Sensors

In order for hot water in coffee machines to be pressed evenly through the coffee capsules and thus ensure a uniform taste, wafer-thin white nonwoven fabric must be inserted into the capsules. Once the coffee powder has been poured into the capsules and the nonwoven fabric has been placed on it, energy reflex sensors check the presence of the nonwoven fabric. Mounted above the conveyor belt, they reliably detect the difference between the darker coffee powder and the white nonwoven fabric – even at high belt speeds.

Energetic Reflex Sensors

Reflex sensors check objects for presence, check stack heights or perform counting tasks. They are used when objects need to be detected without a defined background. For this purpose, they use red light or infrared light according to the energy principle.
