Description

EGE MFP Series Microwave Level Meter

EGE MFP Series Microwave Level Meter, The MFP level meter for continuous monitoring of various liquids allows measurement of the fill level in plastic or metal tanks of any size. The devices offer high measurement precision. They work with numerous liquids such as water, oil, or emulsions. Principle of measurement: The microwaves are “guided” along the rod and are reflected at the surface of the medium. From this, the sensor determines the fill level. No adjustment is necessary for various media. The devices are made of aluminum and AISI 316 Ti stainless steel and are suitable for ambient temperatures between – 20 and +70 °C.

Specifications

Pressure RatingUp to 10 bar (at 25°C)
Protection RatingIP67 enclosure (AISI 316 Ti / Anodized Aluminum housing)

Features

  • TDR Guided Wave Principle: Pulses travel along a mono-rod, coaxial, or flexible cable probe, providing high-precision measurement without moving parts to wear out.

  • Media-Independent Calibration: Once installed, measurement remains stable despite changes in fluid conductivity, viscosity, temperature, or dielectric constant ($varepsilon_r ge 1.8$ or $ge 20$ depending on probe type).

  • Aggressive Media Protection (LMF Series): Available with full PFA rod coating and PEEK process connections, ensuring high chemical resistance against acids, alkalis, and aggressive solvents.

Applications

  • Water & Wastewater Tanks: Monitoring clean water, sewage, and aqueous mixtures in plastic or steel tanks.

  • Chemical & Process Storage: Level control in aggressive chemical dosing tanks using PFA-sleeved mono-rod variants.

  • Hydraulic & Lubrication Systems: Continuous monitoring of oil reservoirs and coolant tanks in machine tools and industrial hydraulics.
