Description

Wenglor CP24MHT80 Sensor High Precision

Wenglor CP24MHT80 Sensor High Precision works with a high-resolution CMOS line and DSP technology and determines distance using angular measurement. As a result, material, color, and brightness-related measurement differences are virtually eliminated. The integrated analog output can be configured for voltage 0…10 V (10…0 V) or current 4…20 mA (20…4 mA).

Features at a Glance

  • Response time: < 660 µs (speed-mode)
  • High resolution: 20 µm (resolution mode)
  • Linearity: 0,1 % (resolution mode)
  • Zoom function
  • Measured value independent of material, color, and brightness

Applications

Production Monitoring of Parquet Tongues and Grooves via High-Precision Laser Distance Sensor with Analog Output

When manufacturing parquet flooring with tongues, it is important to ensure that the tongue is securely inserted into the groove in the parquet once pressed in. This is precisely monitored via high-precision laser distance sensors. Ideal for the wood industry: The sensors also work reliably in the event of flying chips and soiling. Since different parquet heights are produced on a single system, the respective distance to the background is detected via an analog output on the sensor. The sensors measure all relevant heights with their analog output: the distance to the conveyor belt, the tongue and groove and the parquet.

High-Precision Laser Distance Sensors

High-precision laser distance sensors work according to the principle of angle measurement, whereby color, shape and object surface do not influence the measurement. Depending on the setting, they can be operated at very high speed or resolution. The measuring range can be selected individually within the sensor’s working range.
