Description of MOBREY 36 DA/F84 MAGNETIC HORIZONTAL FLOAT SWITCH

The Mobrey / Delta-Mobrey S36DA/F84 horizontal magnetic float switch is designed for monitoring liquid levels in industrial tanks and vessels. It consists of a horizontally mounted stainless steel float and an internal magnetically operated switch without an active mechanical seal — ensuring zero leakage and high reliability. This switch uses Mobrey’s proprietary A-flange, with two sets of SPST (single pole single throw) contacts in an aluminum enclosure. It is designed for corrosive liquid conditions and heavy-duty process environments.

Features

  • Stainless steel float F84 compatible with aggressive liquids, including chemicals and oils.
  • Magnetic coupling without mechanical link: prevents leaks and improves operational reliability.
  • Internal switch 2×SPST, contacts AC up to 440 V and DC up to 240 V, current up to 5 A.
  • Weatherproof aluminum alloy housing (IP66) with M20 x 1.5 threaded cable entry according to BS3643.
  • Pressure rating up to 33.8 barg (~490 psi) and process temperature up to 400 °C.
  • Flange configuration A as the mounting side for ASME/EN.

Applications

  • Liquid level alarm, both high and low level, in chemical, oil, and water industrial tanks.
  • Automatic pump control based on liquid level—starting or stopping the pump.
  • Detection of liquid interface (two phases with different densities) using the F88/F84 float.
  • Used in level control processes in the food, energy, refinery, chemical, and marine industries.
  • Suitable for dirty liquids or extreme processes due to the leak-proof enclosure.
