Wenglor P1KH019 Reflex Sensor Background Suppression The reflex sensor with background suppression works with blue light according to the angle measurement principle and is designed to detect objects against any background. The sensor always has the same switching distance, regardless of the color, shape, and surface of the objects. The reflect sensor with blue light is specially designed for applications with dark shiny objects, such as when manufacturing solar wafers. The IO-Link interface can be used to configure the reflex sensors (PNP/NPN, NC/NO, switching distance), as well as for reading out switching statuses and distance values.

Applications

Presence Check of Black Components in the Assembly of Shavers Using Reflex Sensors with Background Suppression

When manufacturing shavers, it must be ensured that the components are available in the correct position and quantity during the assembly process. Reflex sensors with background suppression are mounted above the mounting holders to check the presence of the black plastic components. The confined spaces are no obstacle thanks to the miniature housings. The blue light ensures that the black objects are reliably detected even when positioned at an angle. After all holders have been filled and the presence of all parts has been confirmed, a robot grips the parts.

Reflex Sensors With Background Suppression

Reflex sensors with background suppression detect and measure objects contactlessly and detect them in front of any defined background. They work with red light, infrared light, blue light or laser light. Thanks to the principle of angle measurement, the color, shape and object surface have no influence on the switching behavior of the sensors.
