Description of Maeda Koki Oil Signal MKCM20-2TL-OFF

Maeda Koki Oil Signal MKCM20-2TL-OFF (and ON type) is a special oil flow indicator based on a transparent tube with a magnetic float and internal reed switch. It is designed to detect fluid flow (especially oil) through gas or light fluids, and emits an ON/OFF signal based on a fixed flow rate determined by the manufacturer. The switch has an OFF-type configuration: the contact is open when there is no flow (normally open).

Features

  • Visual flow indicator: transparent tube allows direct observation of float movement for quick flow verification.
  • Internal OFF-type switch: reed switch connected to the float opens when flow falls below the threshold (OFF type). Cannot be reset locally (set point fixed).
  • Metal protector: outer casing protects the tube from impact or mechanical damage.
  • Multi-directional installation: supports upward, downward, or horizontal installation thanks to a flexible internal spring. Not affected by installation orientation.

Applications

  • Monitoring of engine oil flow, pneumatic oil mist, or light lubricants in industrial and automotive systems.
  • Alarms or system protection requiring continuous flow detection (e.g., automatic lubrication, cooling oil, vacuum systems).
  • Suitable for use in industrial machinery or control panel integration as a safety or flow status component.
  • Can also be used for light gas media (air, gas) though the oil-signal version is more commonly applied for medium-viscosity oil.
