Description

Wenglor P1KT002 Reflex Sensor Energetic

Wenglor P1KT002 Reflex Sensor Energetic The reflex sensor makes use of a red light line in accordance with the energetic principle and is suitable for detecting objects without any background. It’s suitable for the reliable detection of objects with stamped or perforated surfaces such as PCBs and perforated sheet metal. Furthermore, objects can be detected on the light line regardless of position. The IO-Link interface can be used to configure the reflex sensor (PNP/NPN, NC/NO, switching distance), as well as for reading out switching statuses and distance values.

Applications

Edge Detection for PCBs with Reflex Sensors with Red Light Line

When manufacturing PCBs for the electronics industry, the PCBs must be transported in soldering systems during the running process and their position reliably detected. However, these PCBs often have breakouts or are not always precisely rectangular. Reflex sensors with a red light line are used to reliably detect these objects. They detect the front edges of the PCBs on transfer stations despite the irregular object surface and shape.

Energetic Reflex Sensors

Reflex sensors check objects for presence, check stack heights or perform counting tasks. They are used when objects need to be detected without a defined background. For this purpose, they use red light or infrared light according to the energy principle.
